Project St. Gerard's

St. Gerard’s Private School in Bray, Co. Wicklow underwent the construction of a new extension to both the Junior and Senior schools. This endeavour included extensive refurbishment and fire remediation works on the existing school buildings. The complexity of the project required intricate temporary works and tie-in details with the existing structures, necessitating the demolition of certain buildings.

The project included the provision of new car parking, roadways, paved open areas, and expansive landscaped green spaces. The construction of the buildings employed a combination of reinforced concrete frames, structural steel, infill blockwork, precast flooring, and a mix of precast concrete warm roofs and Kingspan insulated panel roofs.

Before commencing the construction, a survey and tracing of all existing services took place. A significant number of electrical services, water mains, foul and storm drains were re-routed to facilitate the progress of the works while ensuring the school remained operational.
