Project Kilkenny PRimary Care

Kilkenny Primary Care, involved the construction and fit-out of a three-storey Primary Health Care centre. Additionally, a fourth storey plant room, a Pharmacy, and a Community Centre building were integrated into the project on a brownfield site in Kilkenny city. The development included associated car parking, bicycle parking, hard landscaping, set-down areas, and all necessary ancillary services, featuring an IW standard foul water pumping station.

As part of the comprehensive project, an intricately landscaped public park was created, incorporating cycle ways and pathways. A sand-based playing pitch was also established for the neighbouring school. Additionally, separate structures such as an ESB substation, switch room, stores building, and bin storage area were constructed.

The installation of complex Mechanical and Electrical (M+E) services was a key aspect, encompassing specialized gas provisions for Dental fit-out suites, Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery, and an air conditioning system. Furthermore, the project involved the installation of suction line pipework and compressed air systems for the Dental suite.
Security
Security measures were integrated, including secure automated entry at main access points and internal access control to different departments within the development. The entire building was constructed in compliance with Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB) standards.

The Primary Care Centre boasts a total floor area of 5867m2, utilizing a three-storey construction with a combination of concrete frame and steel construction. This turnkey project was delivered complete with furniture and fittings.
