Ormonde Construction

Project college park

The scope of this project involved the construction of 59 residential units situated at College Park, Callan Road, Kilkenny City. The housing development comprises a diverse range of 3 and 4-bedroom semi-detached units, 3 and 4-bedroom terraced units, duplex units, and apartments.

The residential units were constructed using a timber frame method, featuring Rationel windows and a combination of coloured K-rend plaster and sandstone on the front elevation. Some of the units spanned three floors, necessitating the conversion of attic spaces and the installation of double Velux windows. The duplex and apartment units, constructed using standard block construction with precast floors and trussed roofs, underwent extensive fireproofing, with a particular emphasis on critical fire compartmentation measures.
