Crokers Hill is an award-winning 88-unit social housing development completed for Kilkenny County Council, providing a mix of houses, apartments, a group home and a community centre within a carefully planned residential setting.

The development was designed to provide modern, comfortable and energy-efficient homes while creating a strong sense of community through the integration of residential accommodation, shared facilities and landscaped external spaces.

Works included the complete construction and fit-out of the residential units, from substructure and superstructure through to roofing, internal finishes and mechanical and electrical installations. An extensive infrastructure package was also delivered, including estate roads, footpaths, drainage systems, utility connections, landscaping and associated external works.

The scale and variety of the development required careful planning and sequencing, together with close coordination of multiple trades to achieve consistent standards of workmanship across the entire scheme.

The completed Crokers Hill development provides 88 high-quality social homes alongside important community facilities and demonstrates Ormonde Construction’s capability to successfully deliver large-scale public housing developments with a strong focus on quality, sustainability and long-term community living.
