College Park on the Callan Road, Kilkenny City is a substantial residential development comprising 59 new homes across a diverse mix of property types. The development includes three and four-bedroom semi-detached and terraced houses, duplex units and apartments, creating a varied and attractive residential neighbourhood.
The houses were predominantly constructed using timber-frame construction, with Rationel windows and a combination of K-Rend, wet dash and natural sandstone finishes creating distinctive elevations throughout the development. A number of the homes extend over three floors, incorporating converted attic accommodation and Velux rooflights.
The duplex and apartment buildings were constructed using traditional blockwork with precast concrete floors and trussed roof structures, with particular attention given to fire protection and compartmentation throughout these buildings. Ormonde Construction also delivered the internal finishes, including kitchens, sanitary ware and tiling, together with the extensive external works required to complete the development.
These works included new estate roads, paved pedestrian routes and landscaping, creating a fully serviced and attractive residential environment.
The completed College Park development demonstrates Ormonde Construction’s experience in delivering large-scale residential schemes incorporating multiple house types, construction methods and high-quality finishes.
