Ormonde Construction delivered Abbey Hill, Thomastown, on a Design & Build basis for Kilkenny County Council, providing a high-quality development of modern 2 and 3-bedroom homes on Ladywell Street, within walking distance of Thomastown town centre.
The development involved the construction of new residential units together with the complete delivery of the associated site infrastructure and external works. The homes were designed and constructed to provide comfortable, energy-efficient accommodation, with well-planned internal layouts, durable finishes and a strong emphasis on build quality. Works included all substructure and superstructure construction, roofing, internal finishes, mechanical and electrical installations, together with roads, footpaths, drainage networks, utility connections and landscaping.
As a Design & Build project, careful coordination between the design team, construction team and specialist subcontractors was essential throughout the development to ensure the required standards of quality, performance and programme were achieved.
