International Women's Day
We are on the countdown to the Construction Industry Federations International Women’s Day event which takes place on 7th March!
Lisa was part of the panel discussion at last years event where the discussion centred around the wide breadth of opportunities for women in this sector, the importance of bringing more women to the sector and how this can be achieved.
Gowran Park Handover
Construction activities on the project involved the demolition of the pre-existing jockeys’ weights room, followed by the erection of a new two-story weight room building, alongside comprehensive site development works.
This included the establishment of jockey changing rooms, designated male and female changing areas, a media room and kitchen facilities, complete with a lift and stairs for accessibility.
Lisa O’Shea has been shortlisted for the Elevate Award
We are delighted to announce that our own Lisa O’Shea has been shortlisted for the Elevate Award – Championing Women in Surveying!
Lisa started her career in construction as a plasterer 25 years ago. Returning to education in her mid-twenties, she qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor. Lisa is passionate about working in the sector and has campaigned tirelessly to break down the perception of the industry as male-oriented and promote instead a culture of inclusiveness and diversity, establishing support networks, and highlighting promotion opportunities. Lisa is a team player, reliable, dedicated, self-motivated, and already a winner in our eyes!

Green light for large new primary care centre in Kilkenny
In plans submitted to the local authority early last year the existing primary access road from Hebron Industrial Estate was proposed to serve as the principal access route to the healthcare building and the proposed upper deck car park (89 parking spaces). Plans for bicycle parking, footpaths, cycle paths, public site lighting, landscaping, drainage and water mains works were also included in the original plans. The building design has been modified and set back to facilitate a new roundabout and traffic calming measures on the Hebron Road.
