A significant programme of construction and improvement works were carried out at The Teresian School in Donnybrook, Dublin, providing modern educational and sporting facilities within an established school campus. The development included new classroom accommodation, specialist learning areas, administrative offices and associated staff and student facilities, together with the construction of a new purpose-built sports hall. A key feature of the sports hall was its precast concrete construction, incorporating precast concrete walls. The project required careful coordination of the precast elements alongside the wider structural, architectural and building services packages.

Works were undertaken within a live school environment, requiring detailed planning of construction activities, deliveries and site access to maintain a safe environment and minimise disruption to students, staff and the day-to-day operation of the school. Particular attention was given to creating high-quality educational spaces, with consideration for acoustic performance, ventilation, natural daylight and durable finishes suitable for intensive school use.

The completed development provides The Teresian with enhanced teaching and sporting facilities and demonstrates Ormonde Construction’s experience in delivering complex educational projects and specialist precast construction within live school environments.
