Ormonde Construction delivered the new Adamstown Community Centre and Sports Hall in Dublin, providing a modern, multi-purpose facility for the local community and neighbouring school.

The project involved demolition of the existing structure on a brownfield site followed by construction of a new two-storey community centre. The facility incorporates four multi-purpose meeting rooms, a double-height sports hall, fitness suite, changing facilities, reception areas, kitchen and associated storage and ancillary spaces. External works included a full-size all-weather sports pitch, car parking and landscaping.

The building was constructed using extensive precast concrete elements, including insulated wall panels, floor panels, stairs and roof elements. Ormonde Construction managed the precast works on a Design & Build basis, requiring detailed coordination throughout the project.

Located adjacent to an active secondary school and close to Adamstown Train Station, careful planning of deliveries, access and construction activities was essential to minimise disruption.

The Community Centre was successfully constructed within an impressive seven-month programme and strict project budget, demonstrating Ormonde Construction’s ability to deliver high-quality community facilities within demanding programmes.
